Interesting Photos
This photo was taken by Daniel Kfouri in 2009. It is a photo of a skateboarder attempting to do a maneuver during free practice for the MegaRamp event. The ramp is 27 meters high and represents an extreme form of skateboarding. I find this photo interesting because its almost like hes in the sky also because its in black, white and grey the silhouette of the man stands out.
Interesting Photos
This photo was taken by Kent Klich in 2009. It was taken in Palestinian Territories, Tuffah. I find this picture interesting because its amazing how the tank shell didn't explode. In this picture you can see a hole in the roof of a house hit by a tank shell in Tuffah. The family that lived in this house fled during Operation Cast Lead, the Israeli attack on Gaza that began at the end of December 2008. I think that its amazing how the escaped in time.
Interesting Photos
This photo was taken in 1995 by Lucian Perkins. It was taken in Russia, Chechnya. This photo is of a bus leading to Grozny during the fighting between Chechen independence fighters and Russian troops. The civil war which erupted when President Yeltsin sent troops to the rebellious province in December 1994 was still dragging on months later. I find this photo interesting because I am interested in world history also like to learn about war. This photo is simple but effective also dramatic because of the boy in the back of the bus with his hands on the window like he wants to escape. It gives off the feeling that it wasn't a very nice life they had.
Year 11 Photography Unit
Hello, I am Kimberley Franklin. I am in year 11 at Caldicot School 2012/13. I am studying OCR Media, our third unit is photography. We have already studied two units which were CD covers and magazines and a film unit where we had to produce our own school horror film. In this unit we are going to be taking photos and uploading them onto our blogs we have created. We have done this so that we can access our work from any computer even at home. This means that if we are behind in anything we are able to catch up.
